🇪🇸 Alcaraz Conquers Melbourne And History
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 in three hours and five minutes, winning his first Australian Open and becoming the youngest ever to complete the Career Grand Slam.
At twenty-two years and two hundred seventy-two days, the Spaniard breaks a record that belonged to Don Budge since 1938. A stat that tells a deeper story than the simple score: Alcaraz arrived in Melbourne after a five-and-a-half-hour semifinal against Zverev, with cramps, physical issues, and that feeling of having reached his limit. Yet he found a way to win again, coming back after a first set where Djokovic seemed to have found his best version.
