Alcaraz in the Crosshairs: The Yacht Photos and the Influencer's Accusation

Carlos Alcaraz has found himself at the center of controversy after the release of photos showing him aboard his ten-million-euro yacht along the Amalfi Coast, in the company of Spaniard Claudia Canals. The shots, published in mid-July by the Spanish magazine Semana, quickly went viral on social media and fueled rumors of a new relationship, never confirmed by the world number two.

What turned the gossip into a full-blown case was Italian influencer Alessandro Rossetti, who in his Instagram stories described the Spaniard's career as "almost over." According to Rossetti, the Murcian's socialite lifestyle, made up of nonstop partying, has cost him the level that once made him a champion, a decline he claims is now irreversible.

The criticism comes at a delicate moment. Alcaraz has not played since April 14, when he had to stop due to a right wrist problem during the ATP 500 in Barcelona, an injury that forced him to miss the Italian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Montreal Masters 1000. In mid-July, however, more encouraging reports about his recovery emerged from Spain, with the Spaniard aiming to return on the American hard courts ahead of the US Open.

A thirty-year-old from Barcelona, Claudia Canals is a digital entrepreneur and content creator, who founded the agency CC Studio in 2025. Neither she nor Alcaraz has commented on the nature of their relationship.

It is striking how a summer photograph can turn into a public trial. Alcaraz has repeatedly claimed the right to enjoy life off the court, and at twenty-three, with seven Slam titles already in the cabinet, the verdict on his career sounds premature to say the least.
