Novak Djokovic was fined 5,600 pounds for foul language during the fourth round of Wimbledon 2026 against Roman Safiullin. The Serb, who nonetheless got past the Russian 7-6(6), 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, had received a formal warning from the chair umpire after unleashing a string of curses when he found himself down 2-0 in the third set.

The penalty places him on an already long list: Djokovic is one of seventeen players fined at this edition of the Championships. The amount, among the highest imposed so far, is the same one handed to several other protagonists of the tournament, from Corentin Moutet to Joao Fonseca, in an edition marked by an unusual number of disciplinary measures.
