Jannik Sinner defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-4, reaching his twentieth consecutive win at Masters 1000 events. A milestone that in recent history belongs only to Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, and one Sinner achieved with a far more composed performance than the day before against Machac.

What stands out most is the contrast with Thursday: the lost set, the medical timeout, that sense of physical fragility that for an hour had suggested a difficult week ahead. Instead, yesterday Sinner moved with a noticeably different ease, and in his press conference he spoke of a night's sleep that restored his energy. Sometimes the most significant matches are the ones that don't make noise, and this one said more than it seemed about his true form.

🇪🇸 Alcaraz Hits 300 And Wraps Up Bublik In An Hour

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Bublik 6-3, 6-0 in 63 minutes, reaching 300 career wins on the ATP Tour at just 22 years old. Only Laver and Connors got there faster, McEnroe in the same number of matches.

After 47 unforced errors against Etcheverry on Thursday, yesterday's performance felt almost like a response to himself: 18 errors, 6 breaks conceded by Bublik, and a second set in which the Kazakh could do nothing but shake hands at the net with a phrase that says it all: "we played in the worst conditions for me." Alcaraz on clay, when he's clicking, has a level that takes options away from his opponent before the rally even begins.

🇲🇨 Vacherot Keeps Writing The Principality's Fairy Tale

Valentin Vacherot defeated Alex de Minaur 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, becoming the first Monégasque player to reach the semifinals at Monte Carlo in the Open Era. To get there, he saved 13 of 17 break points, six of them in the deciding set.

A year ago he was ranked 256 in the world. Then Shanghai, won as a complete outsider, and from there a rise that has taken him to number 17 in the live rankings. The most remarkable thing, more than the results themselves, is how Vacherot handles the pressure of playing at his home club, in front of a crowd he knows by name. After Musetti, Hurkacz and de Minaur, on Saturday Alcaraz awaits, and the feeling is that whatever happens, this week has already changed how the tennis world sees Vacherot.

🇩🇪 Zverev Tames Fonseca In Three Sets

Alexander Zverev defeated Joao Fonseca 7-5, 6-7(3), 6-3 in two hours and forty minutes, ending the Brazilian's run at his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal. Fonseca snatched the second set with a tiebreak played with real personality, but in the third Zverev conceded just three points on serve.

The match tells two different stories: on one side a nineteen-year-old who at Monte Carlo beat Rinderknech, Diallo and Berrettini before pushing the world number three to a third set; on the other a Zverev who keeps winning without ever fully convincing. The German arrives at the semifinal against Sinner knowing he has lost the last seven head-to-heads, a stat that weighs more than any tactical analysis.
